In PHP, all keywords (like echo,while,else,if,etc), classes, functions, and user-defined functions are NOT case-sensitive Look Below:

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<body>

<?php
function display() {

echo “hello world!”;
ECHO “<p>Welcome to our wordpress site!</p>”; #both are same echo inbuilt function.

}

diSPLAY(); // call the function
?>

</body>
</html>

So, you can see that function display is different as compare to when we are calling it.

Wait! What’s the “function” in above example?

In PHP to define function the syntax is :

function function_name(){

}

again you can write FUNCTION/ Function all these are same.
